Talent is everywhere. The chance to use it is not, yet.
Esperafrica exists so that a young person's potential is never cut short by a school fee or a missed meal. We invest in their education, and we stand with the families and homes raising the next generation.

The scale of the challenge, and where we fit in it.
Out-of-school children and young people worldwide. More than half of them live in sub-Saharan Africa.
UNESCO, 2024Countries reached since 2016, from DR Congo and Cameroon to Kenya and Uganda. We want to reach every country on the continent. We are not there yet, and we say so plainly.
The most important work belongs to the teachers, parents, and staff running children's homes on very little. Our role is to help them do more of what they already do well.
Our vision
A young person in any community should be able to finish school, keep going if they choose, and build a life on their own terms.
That is the whole aim. Everything we fund is a step toward it, and we measure ourselves by how many young people actually get there.
See what we doThree habits we try to keep.
We ask first
The work starts with what a family, a school, or a children's home tells us they need. Not with what we assumed on the way in.
We show up
We deliver in person and stay for the day. It keeps us honest about whether the support reached the people it was meant for.
We come back
One visit makes a nice photo. Coming back is what builds trust, so we invest in relationships we can keep for the long term.
